RM Photography is a creative studio run by Robert Marks out of downtown Vancouver, offering museum-quality copywork, artistic portraiture, indie-aesthetic product photography, and conceptual art by means of a journal.
This studio is ideal for artists, writers, actors, musicians, and deep thinkers looking to be found in a new light.

What's it like on a shoot with me? We start by taking some time to review your main goals for the shoot, vibe to music for the moment, and can flow with introspective all the way to ultra hype.
We find our most creative selves, have some fun and just make low-pressure beautiful images.
I've had feedback from many people that I make it easy to be more comfortable in front of the camera, either in studio or found-light on location. I'm terrible when having my own portrait taken, so I really get it for others who feel that.
But also, sometimes you just have something you want to show the world, and getting a portrait session with someone that understands your artistic goals and philosophies can become a bigger priority than being camera shy. We always find a way to show you at your best.
When it comes to copywork or art documentation, I take the greatest care with your originals to ensure they are safe throughout the shoot. I spend time with your work, crafting the light, to create meaningful, accurate copies of your paintings, drawings, illustrations, murals or sculptures. I can work with single pieces, or larger bodies of work. Anything goes. I'm happy to work for galleries, collectors, curators, or the artists directly.
I love doing consultation calls, so when we get to the shoot we just have a chill experience and come out with some images you will love. My name is Robert Marks, I'm a Gen X photographer that refuses to let go of youthful freedom and creativity. A student of Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams and many others.
Beauty in all forms. No genre, gender or class borders.
